The 49ers starting offer for Brock Purdy’s contract extension is $45M per year, per @JasonLaCanfora That would rank 13th in the NFL… 😬

Bigman21 yesterday

He might want to take that!

Quinteb yesterday

He’s not even a top 20 qb and he’s gonna be paid top 15 money?

This kid isn’t greedy, not built that way. I don’t think he turns it down.

mazzarita 21 hours ago

Only $45,000,000 / yr!!?? Oh noooo how terrible for him

LordDouche 21 hours ago

That’s exactly what he deserves by my calculations

lastontheboat 21 hours ago

But how many “massages” does he get?

Kcity20 21 hours ago

Unfortunately qb market is f*****. He deserves more thn tlaw which i believe is 50 mil 🤷‍♂️

AriGoId 21 hours ago

Take it and run

MattysEagles 21 hours ago

pay him 55 mill a year

phillyphreak 20 hours ago

That’s about right.

latecommer 20 hours ago

This means nothing until guaranteed money is revealed. Assuming a three year contract which is usually what SF does, 135 mill with half guaranteed no trade clause . Anyone putting blame on Purdy for last year just doesn’t understand football.

They know his worth

Hating the haters He has shown top 10 or better abilities and should be paid as such. Even if it is technically considered back pay since he has been living on saltine crackers and Rice-a-roni that last few seasons.

13th?!! Top 10?!! @tyronebiggums420 No way… and now take away your weapons and the words of Cam Newton he’s a good game manager.. 49ers better save that money

I mean, I'd take it, given his injury history, but also I'm in street clothes. I feel terrible that such a thing as injuries comes up in negotiations, but that's the profession. I don't know what sort of incentive package there is, but let's face it, he's the best decision maker they've had since C-Kap, and their window appears to be closing. The whole team is in a tough spot. You have to ask, how much more life changing is 8-10 mil per year when you're coming from the last pick in the draft? From a human perspective, this is a massive W, even if it's somewhat of an L from a football salary perspective. What are we talking about though, does it matter if Dak has a slightly nicer Lambo than you? Is not your team better off to build if you take less, even though it may not roll forward like Brady's situation does? Just win, baby, and that money will come. Plus you're already getting commercial deals... so...

HungryHashMastr 18 hours ago

That’s actually pretty fair considering that he’s roughly the 15th best qb

VeeDub32 18 hours ago

Go ahead pay him 60 mill a year and see where that gets you

deltajvliet 18 hours ago

It'll end at 48-53. Fair enough.

LKVB16 18 hours ago

He deserves it right now.
