I am in need of solid RB’s. Should I try to trade up in this years draft to snag Jeanty? Or should I stick with what I have and draft an RB at the 1.06 Half Ppr 1.5 TEP QB: Stroud, Murray, Penix RB: R. Dowdle, R. Davis, I. Guerendo, E. Wilson, S. Tucker, K. Mitchell WR: MHJ, BTJ, M. Nabers, Odunze, Ladd, A. Mitchell, J. Burton, D. Wicks, D. Douglas, D. Vele TE:J. Smith, K. Pitts, Freiermuth, N. Fant, C. Stover 2025 picks: 1.06, 1.11, 2.05, 3.06, 4.06
i wouldnt force the trade fore Jeanty if you have to give up too much. lotta RBs in this draft not named Jeanty that could provide immediate value. could deal a WR for and RB already in the league too as another approach. @BDReaper
You might be able to get that trade done by adding one of those WRs and getting Jeanty depending on the manager. I wouldn't trade Jeanty for just a pick and a player, where I have the 1.01 and am rebuilding. But I will tell you are not one Jeanty away from competing for the title.
I will say that the team with the 1.01 is hurting for WR badly.
Maybe move up to 1.03 or wait until the draft and see who falls to 1.04 and move up. Guessing someone might take Tet in the top 3 so one of the top 3 rbs might fall. Offer your 1.06 and maybe your second or next year's 2nd to move up two spots.
Which Wideout should I try to send away?
That plus the 1.06, you’ll be competitive this year and probably a favorite to win next year
I think the WR that is closest to their peak value is Ladd, so that’s probably who I’d try to move
The other 4, imo are only going to increase their value. If he isn’t interested in Ladd then I’d try to steer him towards MHJ. I’m not saying Odunze because I think he has the most room to increase his value, and I’m holding onto BTJ and Nabers with my life
Although, I am slightly biased as a LSU alum. Lol
Do not include a 1st with any of these guys and I’d really argue with him to avoid adding a 2nd as well. All of this depends on negotiating, do it well enough and you might be able to get a pick from him depending on who you decide to offer
You don’t think MHJ has room to increase?
Just curious
And Odunze easily has the most room for improvement with Allen gone, year two for Caleb, and Ben Johnson taking the HC job
Tbh, my biggest issue with MHJ is Kyler.
I think he’s a fraud of a QB. Really limits the play calling when you can’t see over your Oline
Decent Fantasy QB, but only because of his occasional rushing. Has absolutely nothing to do with his ability as a passer… which MHJ relies on
That’s who I’ve got for QB 🤣
He’s fine for Fantasy. Terrible for WR production and NFL success
@EskimoTribe yeah so if the 1.01 holder values it like you, then my advice to OP would be to trade for the 1.03. Also I’m not waiting for the planets to align to compete for a championship, his team is very young and doesn’t have any expiring assets for a very long time. You don’t need a HR hitter at every spot to win
Also as I stated before, people with older teams who don’t perform well in the first half of the season next year will be looking to jump ship. Buy a vet there for cents on the dollar and improve odds in playoffs. Only need to be the best team for 3 weeks at the very end of the season.
I mean I don’t think he has as far to climb as you think, obviously. I think his QBs are good enough, and he could potentially have 5 WR1s on his team. IMO, with RBs he drafts in this class and acquire 1 vet mid season, that’s plenty to have a very good chance at winning.
Yeah no duh you don't need heavy hitters at every position 🙄. But CJ Stroud was garbage Kyler Murray is middling at best, penix has the best upside of being legit. And those tight ends the best one of them is not on a roster and didn't break out until he was 32 years old. And like you said this team is young He doesn't need to force anything He has time to build a roster properly. This is not some tiny little window that he has with aging players
And you're right he's not that far off I never claimed he was
and agreed if you're able to there's nothing wrong with that trade I like that trade but again I don't see that happening
